My journey in Landscape Photography, showcasing my favourite images, blogs of my thoughts and possibly some inspiration along the way
A gallery of my favourite images taken over the course of my landscape photography adventures. My images are predominantly from the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales which include mountainscapes, woodland and limestone country. Black and White landscape photography is also a love of mine with its timeless and moody results it can bring.
I will continue to improve my art and I am confident in saying that the standard of my photography has developed over the years. My blog article ‘Landscape Photography – Learning Composition’ details how I have slowly progressed through the early years and have learnt that placement of elements, timing and light often lend to a pleasing image. Once I established the basics and grew in confidence, I became more creative and patient. ‘Is there a wrong or right’ questions whether landscape photographers need rules if we are to improve. Critique teaches us to learn but is equally important to make the decision to take on what you choose.
The selection of images will most likely change as time passes by as what I feel works now, may not be the case later on and will no doubt be replaced with something that looks better…in my opinion. Enjoy the gallery and please make sure to comment. I would love to hear your feedback.
